Palolem beach is voted one of the best beaches in the world ,its a crescent cove in the far south of GOA surrounded with palm trees along the coastline. the water is clear, shallow & safe to swim.
there's nothing to do here but soak up the rays ,and go for long walks in the shallows.
the local people are very friendly, and hospitable off course very helpful too. the local drink there is coconut feni. this is made from toddy extracted from the coconut shoot. the local food there is fish curry/rice. early mornings the fisherman go out with their boats into the sea and come back with their nets full of fish.
there's a monkey island just off the coast. at low tide you can walk to get there.
apart from the beach , there's a beautiful lonely isolated beach. they call it "paradise on earth" .this beach is commonly known as " the butterfly beach". to get there you can only got by boat . it takes about 20 minutes from palolem beach .while on the way you can see a lot of dolphins playing in the water. if you prefer to go in the mornings its the best .
palolem boasts of a warm and hospitable local population.
there are many European nationals who stay there for long term as well.
